POS Cloud API
The POS Cloud API lets your backend create and manage card payment transactions on a CM.com payment terminal without any app running on the device itself. Your server posts a transaction request, the terminal picks it up, the cardholder presents their card, and your server polls (or is notified of) the result.
Use this when you want to control terminal payments from your own systems — for example, a point-of-sale system that talks to a terminal over the network rather than embedding a native app on it.
Key concepts
| Concept | Description |
|---|---|
| Terminal polling | Terminals check the platform periodically (typically every few seconds) for pending transaction requests |
| Transaction flow | CREATED → AUTHORIZED → CLEARED (success) or CANCELLED |
| Terminal identifier | Terminals are addressed by manufacturer, model, and serial number |
