Marketplace Development process

Marketplace team is using Jira to define the tickets. The Kanban board can be found here: https://cmcom.atlassian.net/jira/software/c/projects/MKT/boards/225

The Kanban board consist of the following columns:

  • To do
  • In progress
  • Done

Development & Testing​

Team members pick up the task and finish the required work for that ticket to mark it as Done

Testing needs to be done both on cmtest as on prod. This is in our DoD and ticket to do's.

Deployment & GitOps​

GitOps: We manage infrastructure and services using https://github.com/cmcom-engage/central-marketplace-deployment-terraform

Acceptance: Code changes can be deployed from the branches. This doesnt require any approvals from admin.

Production: Code needs to be merged to main. Requires approval from admin to deploy

Rollback​

To rollback, We need to revert the commits on https://github.com/cmcom-engage/central-marketplace-deployment-terraform

Language & Framework​

  • C#; For backend development. All our backends are microservices consisting of an API and sometimes services. We do have 2 services written in nodejs and Java
  • Angular; For frontend development we use Angular in combination with Typescript.
