Shopify CRM

This page for the Customer Setup and Delivery Setup guides. It provides an overview of the Shopify CRM integration process and how it enables seamless data synchronization between Shopify and the Marketplace platform. Additionally, this integration supports Shopify webhooks for sending data to the CDP, enabling real-time event notifications.

Overview

The Shopify CRM integration allows you to connect your Shopify store with the Marketplace platform to:

  1. Synchronize customer data and manage orders.
  2. Send data about events (e.g., order creation, updates, or deletions) to the CDP using Shopify webhooks.

This guide is divided into two sections:

  1. Customer Setup: What the customer needs to provide to enable the integration.
  2. Delivery Setup: What your team configures based on the customer's input.

Integration Setup Process

The integration process involves the following steps:

**1. **Customer Setup

  • The customer creates a Shopify account, generates an Access Token, and retrieves the Resource URL.
  • The customer also registers webhooks for specific events they want to send to the CDP.
  • These details are shared with the delivery team for configuration.

**2. **Delivery Setup

  • The delivery team configures the integration in the Marketplace platform using the provided details.
  • The delivery team ensures that the webhooks are correctly set up to send data to the CDP.

Shopify Webhooks for CDP Integration

Starting with Shopify for Customer Engagement apps, you can send data about events that occur on the server to a web application using webhooks. Webhooks are a lightweight HTTP pattern for connecting Web APIs and services with a publish/subscribe model. Webhook senders notify receivers about events by making requests to receiver endpoints with some information about the events.
