Delivery Setup Magento
Delivery Setup
This guide explains how to configure the Magento CRM integration on our platform using the information provided by the customer.
1. Create the Event Type(s) in CDP
- In the customer's CDP, go to Sources and create an Event Type for each Magento event to capture (for example, Customer Added, Order Placed).
- Define the fields each event carries (for example: Email Address, Mobile Phone, First Name, Last Name, Order ID, Amount). These field names are what the customer must match in the Mage plaza webhook body.
- Note the generated Event Type ID (GUID) for each Event Type.
2. Generate a Product Token
- Go to CDP > Settings and create a Product Token for this integration.
- Note the Tenant ID from the same settings page.
3. Hand off to the customer
Share the following with the customer for the Customer Setup Magento steps:
- Tenant ID
- Event Type ID(s)
- Product Token
- The field list each Event Type expects (so their Mageplaza webhook body matches exactly).
The customer assembles these into the CDP events endpoint:
POST https://api.cdp.cm.com/events/v1.0/tenants/{tenant_id}/events/{event_type_id}
Header: X-CM-PRODUCTTOKEN: <product token>
4. Validate end-to-end
- After the customer has configured Mageplaza, create a test customer/order in the Magento store.
- Confirm the Mageplaza webhook log shows a
2xxresponse (Magento: System > Webhook > Logs). - Confirm the event lands under the matching Source/Event Type in CDP.
Note: The legacy steps — configuring a "Magento CRM" integration in the Marketplace UI and entering Resource URL / Consumer Key / Consumer Secret / Access Token / Access Token Secret — have been removed. There is no Marketplace adapter in the direct-to-CDP path.
