Adapter integrations challenges with CRM
While doing integration of salesforce adapter with we faced some challenges and the questions we had are listed below.
- Could you please provide some insights on the rationale behind integrating MSC with Salesforce, considering that MSC primarily focuses on customer support and query resolution, while Salesforce is commonly utilized as a CRM tool for sales and marketing teams?
- Building upon the previous question, it appears that e-commerce orders are not present within Salesforce. Instead, Salesforce treats orders as contracts between two parties. Could you kindly clarify the reasoning behind this differentiation and how it aligns with the e-commerce workflow?
- Given the information provided, it seems that querying orders using email and phone numbers might not be feasible, as the order table does not directly include customer information. In Salesforce, an order is associated with a specific account, which, in turn, is linked to a contact containing email and phone number details. Could you elaborate on the underlying design choice for this structure and how it facilitates order management within Salesforce? 1.
Order -> AccountId <- Contact -> Email/Phone
- Should the querying for order email and phone use = as complete match or use LIKE for match that contains provided string
